Midvaal Local Municipality has procured and welcomed two state-of-the-art aerial platform cherry pickers, acquired at a cost of over R3 million.
One of these advanced cherry pickers will be deployed by our Parks Section to support tree-cutting operations.
This proactive measure will ensure that trees do not obstruct roadways or pose a risk to properties, thereby enhancing safety and convenience for our residents.
The procurement of this cherry picker will also assist in keeping our areas neat and in pristine, appealing condition.
The second cherry picker will be utilised by the Electrical Services Section to expedite the repair of streetlights, ensuring that our areas remain well-lit and secure.
With this new addition, Midvaal Municipality aims to address the backlog in streetlight maintenance, significantly improving service delivery.
This R3 million investment and addition to our municipal fleet reaffirms our commitment to delivering excellent services across all areas of our municipality.
