The MMC for Financial Services plays a pivotal political leadership role within the municipality, ensuring that the department’s performance aligns with the municipality’s vision for sustainable growth and service delivery. The MMC provides oversight and guidance on key financial strategies and collaborates closely with the Executive Mayor, Municipal Manager, Councillors, and finance team stakeholders to implement initiatives that drive growth and ensure sound financial governance and accountability.
