Grass cutting of privately owned vacant land

Dear Midvaal residents,

It is the responsibility of the owner to keep privately owned vacant properties cleaned and maintained at all times.

From January 2023, the Midvaal Local Municipality will cut, and clean premises not maintained by the owner and debit the account according to the approved grass-cutting tariffs (National Health Act, Act 61 of 2003 Section 83(3).

Please note that no notices will be issued to owners of vacant properties, prior to the properties being cleaned by the municipality
