Public Notice:

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49 (1) (a) (i) read together with Section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No 6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the supplementary valuation roll for the financial years 2020/2021 is open for public inspection at the Municipal Rates Offices, Civic Centre, 25 Mitchell Street, Meyerton, 1961 from 15 April 2021 to 31 May 2021. Download the Public Notice 

An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(1) (a) (i) read with Section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires, may lodge an objection from the supplementary valuation roll within the abovementioned period. Calling for inspection of supplementary valuation roll and loadging of objections for the periods 2020/2021:

 

 

 

Public Notice:

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, read with Section 127(5)(a) & (ii) of Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003, that the Midvaal Local Municipality at its meeting held on 25 March 2021 considered the Annual Report 2019/2020, inclusive of the Auditor-General’s Report to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and the Council of Midvaal Local Municipality.

National Treasury issued MFMA Circular 104 dated 07 August 2020 to provide extension to timelines for submission of Annual Financial Statements, Annual Reports, Audits and related matters in terms of the MFMA and it is against this background that the deadlines for submission was extended with two months. – Download

Draft Property Rates Tariffs For The Financial Year 2021/2022:

In terms of Section 2, 7, 8 and 14 of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act 6 of 2004 (“the Act”), read with Sections4(1)(c)(i) and 75A of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, the following draft rates in the Rand are proposed for the Financial Year 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022, as per Council resolution on 25 March 2021 on the market value of the property or on the market value of a right in the property within the area of jurisdiction of the Council as appearing in the valuation roll, in respect of the various categories of properties set out below.

 

The approved draft service tariffs and rates levies will come into operation on 1 July 2021 if approved by the Council after the consultation period. Any person who desires to comment on the draft tabled budget and draft tariffs, can inspect the relevant documentation at the Civic Centre Rates Hall, Midvaal Local Municipality, 25 Mitchell Street, Meyerton, all libraries and satellite offices of the municipality as well as the Midvaal website. Comments can be submitted to the Municipal Manager in writing not later than 5 May 2021. – Download for more information

 

 

 

Midvaal Local Municipality Receives Seventh Consecutive Clean Audit For 2019/2020 Financial Year:

The Midvaal Local Municipality has received a clean audit outcome for the 2019/20 financial year, according to the Auditor General of South Africa (AG).
