 EXECUTIVE MAYOR PETER TEIXEIRA CELEBRATES TOP PERFORMING LEARNERS FROM MIDVAAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS

On the 27 January 2023, the Executive Mayor, Peter Teixeira, hosted ten top performing learners from Midvaal Local Municipality public schools.

The appreciation ceremony was done to recognise the learners who worked tirelessly to put their schools and Midvaal on the map. The learners were joined by their families, school principals and School Governing Body members. The Executive Mayor praised the school Principals and educators for their hard work and dedication.

MIDVAAL PARTNERS WITH WEBA CHUTES AND NUMATA IN HONOUR OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

Midvaal Local Municipality has partnered with Weba Chutes and Numata by hosting a digital Campaign for Girls event to empower young girls to have a better understanding of themselves and the Digital World. The event was hosted at Rusoord Secondary School located in Ward 4.

Sebenza Mbokodo

The Sebenza Mbokodo Women's Fund Project was established in 2019. It's primary focus is to provide access to funding specifically to qualifying black women owned businesses that operate in the informal trading sector within the Midvaal Local Municipality. Through this project, black women businesses have not only been provided with funding but access to development where needed.
