MIDVAAL LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES STAKEHOLDERS AND INTERESTED PARTIES TO COMMENT ONTHE STANDING ORDERS BY-LAW REVIEW

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 14 of the Municipal Systems Act, (Act 32 of 2000) that the Midvaal Local Municipality invites all interested and concerned parties to scrutinize and comment on all amendments of the Standing Orders By-law under review as prescribed by the above referred Act.

The Standing Orders By-law review document will lie open for inspection from 26 September 2023 until 26 October 2023. The document will be available at all clinics, libraries, and satellite offices across the area of jurisdiction as well as on the Midvaal website, MLM social media platforms and the My Midvaal App.

Any comment or representation on the Standing Orders By-law document should be submitted in writing no later than 26 October 2023 to the Legal Services: Corporate Support Services at the Midvaal Municipal Offices, Civic Centre situated at 25 Mitchell Street, Meyerton, during normal office hours between 07:30 to 13:00 and 13:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday. Comments can also be submitted via email to queenmn@midvaal.gov.za.

GENERAL NOTICE: UPDATING OF DETAILS ON THE CENTRAL SUPPLIER DATABASE (CSD)

Dear valued suppliers,

The Midvaal Local Municipality is committed to improving its supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and transparency. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our procurement processes, we are excited to announce a significant change in how we request and obtain quotations from our valued vendors. 

Effective November 1st, 2023, the Midvaal Local Municipality will transition to using the Central Supplier Database (CSD) as the primary platform for soliciting quotations. This transition is a pivotal step towards streamlining our supply chain operations and ensuring that our procurement process aligns with industry best practices. Therefore, it is crucial for all vendors currently doing business or who wish to do business with the Municipality to ensure that their information on the CSD is accurate and up-to-date. Failure to do so may result in missed business opportunities with the municipality.

To update your details on the CSD, please follow these steps:

1. Visit the CSD website at www.csd.gov.za 

2. Log in with your existing CSD credentials or register if you are not yet on the CSD.

3. Update all relevant supplier information, including contact details, banking information, 

and product/service offerings.

4. Verify and submit your updated profile.

PUBLIC NOTICE : Planned Water Interruption – 19 August 2023 Ward 5 and 7

Dear Midvaal Residents,

Notice is hereby given of a planned water interruption by Rand Water for the replacement of the bulk water meter, supplying Ward 5 and 7.

The areas to be affected include:

  • Ohenimuri
  • Golfview
  • Walkerville
  • Walkerville Manor
  • Hartzenbergfontein
  • Blignaustraus

The interruption is scheduled for 19 August 2023. The Downtime is expected to be 3 hours from 09H00 to 12h00.

A water tanker will be dispatched at the corner of Main Road and 4th Street (Spar Walkerville).
