Tourism 

Midvaal is located near the Vaal Dam in a beautiful countryside. The Vaal Dam has been long recognised for its tourism potential as it boasts eco-tourism and avi-tourism opportunities. This large inland lake in excess of 380 km² is within 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg.

The dam has numerous coves and bays that would take weeks to explore, providing excellent boating and yachting appeal for both local and international tourists.

This should be used to attract investors from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The tourism industry has a potential for creating employment opportunities in rural areas.
