MIDVAAL LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVESTIGATES “JOBS FOR SALE” ALLEGATIONS MADE BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

The Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) has noted with great concern allegations from members of the public that there are individuals who are selling MLM jobs. An investigation has been opened into this matter and is currently ongoing.

The Municipality condemns such alleged corrupt behaviour that exploits people seeking employment, and would like to appeal to members of the public that may have any information to come forward and report such corruption to our local independently managed fraud reporting hotline on 0860 268 624 without delay.

If someone wants to report in person, he or she can do so at the Director Human Resources, Mr Patrick Rampai or the Assistant Director Performance Management, Ms Retha van Greune at the Civic Centre in Michell Street, Meyerton.

Any information disclosed will be treated confidentially. Those who have been subjected to this corrupt behaviour and had to pay for a job, will not lose their jobs if they come forward with full disclosure by or before 16h00 on Friday, 22 February 2019.
