MIDVAAL LOCAL MUNICIPALITY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOSPEL MUSICIAN LEBO SEKGOBELA HOST PRAYER AND HEALING SERVICE IN VAAL MARINA

On Saturday, 24 February 2018, the Midvaal Local Municipality in partnership with gospel musician Lebo Sekgobela hosted the Mamello Prayer and Healing Service.

The event was held in honour of those affected by the devastating tornado which hit Vaal Marina on 11 December 2017, in the hope of bringing healing and restoration to the community.

At least 600 community members attended the event, which began with a morning prayer service led by well-known local minister Pastor Moratehi Sekete of the House of Praise Ministries and Pastor Solly Motlhodi from Mamello.

“We are honoured that you have all come out to enjoy this day with us because many of you have been through a lot these past few weeks and we thought that as a municipality, along with Lebo Sekgobela, we should do something to bring some normality back into your lives,” said Executive Mayor Bongani Baloyi

Artists who performed on the day included Mamello choir, Mmatema Moremi, Sbu Noah, Omega Khunou, Sello Malete and Lebo Sekgobela. The programme was directed by actor and presenter Lesley Musina.

The Midvaal Local Municipality wishes to thank all its donors and partners, who contributed towards making the event a success.
